Midland, Texas is holding their sixth annual rodeo and horse show. Roy Parks is the chairman of the sponsor committee. He is posing with the first prize saddle which goes to the best lady rider. The inscription on the fender says "Midland Rodeo 1940." Annabelle Edwards of Big Spring, Texas won the prize saddle. Mr. Parks is wearing a cowboy hat and a button-up shirt.
