Description
Students in Fort Worth, Texas public schools are no longer dragging their feet when it comes to dancing in physical education classes. Riverside High School are practicing an old-fashioned square dance. The members of the square dance club are, clockwise, Annabelle Jeffersen, back to camera; Briton Schubert Wanelle Messer, Ervin Archie, Melvena Dixon, Dan Godwin, Glennelle Brittian, and Kenneth Hightower. They are in old-fashioned western outfit, formed in a circle holding hands raised shoulder-height in the air. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 4, 1940.
