Description
Arlington Heights High School vs Paschal High School basketball game with Joe Burdett and Aubrey Phillips. In the picture, Burdett (6) is holding the basketball with his hands raised in the air while he jumps. Phillips (15) raises his right hand in an attempt to knock the ball out of Burdett's hands. There are other unidentified players on the court and are wearing their school's jersey, pop socks with sneakers and some have knee pads. Paschal won with late rally, 37-34. There are roof supports, brick walls, and divided-lite windows in the gymnasium. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 7, 1948.
