Description
New huanaco (or guanaco) purchased from Detroit at Fort Worth's Forest Park Zoo. Newly bereaved, the new huanaco at Forest Park Zoo, who became a widower just before he left Detroit. His wife's neck was broken in a loading accident. It may account for his proud haunted look, but zoo director Hamilton Hittson thinks not. They're funny animals to begin with. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition July 18, 1947.
