Texas National Guard maneuvers in Louisiana. Getting to sleep is no problem for weary National Guardsmen engaged in Third Army maneuvers in Louisiana. Slumbering Private Walter R. Smith here is being subjected to rough tactics by Sergeant Jesse Burton (left) and Sergeant Jack Burchfield in an effect to arouse him. The three are Wichita Falls, Texas members of Company M, One Hundred and Forty-second Infantry.
