    Description

    J. D. Johnson, aviation chief machinist mate, who enlisted in the Navy Fort Worth in 1929 and hasn't been home in 14 years, had six hours in Fort Worth, Texas, but was unable to contact any of his relatives or friends. He attended East Van Zandt and Carroll Peak elementary schools. Johnson is wearing his military uniform and is sitting on a chair. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 24, 1946.
