Description
Pictured here is recently installed automatic wooden gates at the heavily traveled intersection of N. Riverside Drive, and Galvez, Fort Worth, Texas. The gates are the third installed on open grade crossings of the Rock Island Lines within Fort Worth city limits in recent months. The gates are equipped with an electric warning device and ordered by city officials of crossings for the safety. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 21, 1946.
