    Eight J. P. Elder Junior High School students are recipients of awards for outstanding citizenship and high scholastic achievements. Two of them are pictured here. They are Wanda Harrison, left, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Harrison, 1953, Prairie, Fort Worth, Texas, and Eugene Sanderlin, right, son of Mrs. Frances Howington, 2723, Pearl, Fort Worth, Texas, and Mr. I. P. Sanderlin, 2915 N. W. 24th, Fort Worth, Texas. They are shown standing against the wall and smiling for the camera. Wanda is wearing a button-up dress with a bow-tie and Eugene is wearing a button-up coat with a bow-tie. Both are recipients of the American Legion Award. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 22, 1946.
