Description
Virgil Harris, a convict from Iowa engaged in a gun battle with two Texas State Patrolmen near Lewisville Saturday night. State Patrolman Beasley took a bullet to the foot but was saved from injury by a steel arch support. He is shown pointing to the hole in the sole of his boot. His partner, Patrolman Banks, sustained a severe flesh wound in his right arm. Mr. Harris suffered four bullet wounds before the patrolmen managed to make the arrest. Patrolmen Beasley is dressed in a striped shirt, necktie, and trousers. He is standing in front of a window.
