Description

In the aftermath of a shooting, Denton Chief of Police Pass is pointing to one of the three bullet holes in the vehicle belonging to Virgil Harris, a convict from Iowa. Mr. Harris engaged in a gun battle with two Texas State Patrolmen near Lewisville Saturday night when they pulled him over. Patrolman Banks sustained a severe flesh wound in his right arm. Patrolman Beasley took a bullet to the foot but was saved from injury by a steel arch support. Chief Pass is dressed in a hat, suit, and a long coat. There is a light dusting of snow on the ground and rooftops.
