Description
Virgil Harris, a convict from Iowa engaged in a gun battle with two Texas State Patrolmen near Lewisville Saturday night. The officers, Banks and Beasley were stopping Mr. Harris' car when he began shooting. Patrolman Banks suffered a gunshot to the arm. Mr. Harris received four bullet wounds in the pistol duel. He is shown on a bunk in the Denton County Jail, nursing his wounds.
