A welcome to Texas was extended to Mrs. Betty M. Pack, first of the contingent of English war brides to arrive here after docking in New York on the Queen Mary, Wednesday morning by 1st Lieutenant R. W. Hinton, officer in charge of the Fort Worth Military Reservations Bureau at the Texas and Pacific passenger station. She was to leave here for De Leon, Texas to meet her husband, Charles E. Pack, later in the day. Mrs. Betty M. Pack being greeted by Lieutenant Hinton. Mrs. Pack shaking hands with Lieutenant Hinton as she arrives in Texas as the first of the contingent of English war brides. Star-Telegram Evening Edition February 13, 1946
