Description
Emily Guthrie Smith, left, has made more than 200 pastel sketches of soldiers, sailors and marines at the Service Men's Center. She presented her final drawing to Staff Sergeant Harold K. Filkill of Zanesville, Ohio, whose station is Camp Wolters. The artist is shown presenting the drawing on a large piece of parchment to the sergeant, who is wearing his military uniform. She is wearing a long coat over a blouse and skirt.
