Description
Captain Jack Reiter is the new athletic officer at Fort Worth Army Air Field. Captain Reiter was a navigator with the 9th Air Force since the early days of the war. He is shown dressed in his military uniform. He wears the Purple Heart, presidential unit citation, three battle stars, and three campaign ribbons. Captain Reiter is a former amateur boxer in his native state of New York. He plans to have the field represented in the Golden Gloves. He also plans to institute a full recreational program including basketball and baseball. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition January 08, 1945.
