Description

Captain Jack G. Hurster, a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division since its activation, returned from Tokyo, Japan, recently and is now spending his terminal leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hurster. His decorations include the Silver Star, awarded for successfully directing the defense of a surprise night attack on a hospital, and the Purple Heart, awarded for wounds received during the battle for Manila. The Paschal High School graduate, veteran of four years in the Army, will return to his former job with the Retail Credit Company. He is standing against a wall, wearing his military uniform.
