Description
Four of the 23 candidates who will compete for selection as queen of Grapevine, Texas', sixth annual Cantaloupe Festival on June 28. The contestants are, left to right, Etha Bell Garrett, Ruth Walker, Barbara Boyd, and Helen Hall. They are standing outside. Miss Garrett is wearing a solid colored dress with a light colored belt at the waist, and a choker necklace. Miss Walker is wearing a checkered blouse tucked into a dark colored skirt and a blazer. The inside of the lapels of the blazer match the pattern of the blouse. She has a checkered bow in her hair. Miss Boyd is wearing a dress with a crochet detailed collar and a belt at the waist. The dress has light colored polka dots and multi-colored stripes running vertically down the bodice and skirt and horizontally on tgeh sleeves and front pockets on the skirt. Miss Hall is wearing a floral print dress and a shrug or bolero jacket. The contest will be held at Firemen's Park and newspaper reporters will be the judges.
