Summer scenes. C. C. Cummings with his wife's cousin, Mrs. E. N. Hitcl. The two are shown sitting in a wooden bench-chair together out on a house's porch. Mr. Cummings is smiling and leaning towards Mrs. Hitcl while Mrs. Hitcl looks on at him and holds a newspaper to her to fan it. Mr. Cummings is wearing a pair of trousers with a striped, rolled up shirt and Mrs. Hitcl is wearing a short-sleeve dress with eyeglasses. Behind them is the front window of the house.
