    Description

    Sergeant William R. Wood served as an ambulance driver and motor sergeant with a medical battalion of the 36th Division. He recently returned home and received an honorable discharge. As a civilian, he plans to spend time with his father and grandmother. Sergeant Wood joined the National Guard in 1940 and went overseas 28 months ago. He returned with 108 points at the time of his discharge. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
