Description
Victory celebrants. Army Air Force men on a troop train as they celebrated in the T & P station. The service men went wild with joy when they heard the victory news. The soldiers are shown encircling their train commander, Major Frederick B. Shaffer of mason City, Iowa and all joined in loud cheering and song. One man among the group can be seen playing an accordion next to the Shaffer, who shaking another soldier's hand. They were given a 30 minute layover.
