Victory over Japan celebrants. Monroe Odom, Star-Telelgram newsboy, giving papers to Private first class Donald Smith of Providence, Rhode Island and Private Clyde Cransby of Crosbyton, Texas. The trio appears overjoyed over the news of Japan's surrender and are all smiles, with Cransby raising his arm up in the air. The service men are dressed in military uniform and Odom is dressed in a pair of trousers and a long-sleeve shirt with a cap.
