Victory over Japan celebrants. Marine Private V. S. Davis of Eagle Mount Lake Marine Station, writing letter. Davis stopped at the Service Men's center to write a letter to his parents in Brooklyn, New York. He is dressed in military uniform and is smiling at the camera while he sits at a wooden table with his pen and paper. On the table is a lamp and a newspaper resting under Davis's arm.
