Description
How to make a vacant lot useful instead of allowing in to grow up in weeds and grass and become a health and fire hazard is demonstrated in this victory garden in the 3100 block of 8th Avenue. Mrs. Robert Paschal is shown in the garden which she planted. Weeds and high grass on the lot just beyond the garden shows how the garden plot formerly appeared. It's another good tip for Fort Worth residents participating in the citywide cleanup campaign. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 2, 1945.
