Lieutenant LaVerne Harding (left) and Lieutenant Billy N. Gray (right), are both on terminal leave when they started their class work at Texas Christian University (T. C. U.) while still on active status in the Army. Harding, son of Mr. and Mrs. Azle Harding, flew 66 missions as pilot of a B-25 with the 12th Army Air Forces. He wears the Air Medal with seven cluster and the Distinguished Flying Cross medal. He is picking up again his education at TCU where he attended before entering the Army in 1941. Gray, son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Gray, spent 13 months in New Guinea and amassed 176 missions as a fighter pilot in a P-47. Lieutenant Gray wears the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and Oak Leaf Cluster. He was a former student at the University of Oklahoma, now taking a pre-medical course at TCU.
