With 150 points to his credit, Sergeant (Sgt.) Charles R. Watkins, who returned recently after three years in Africa and Italy as an United stated Army Air Forces (AAF) ground mechanic, has been assigned to Fort Worth Army Air Field (FWAAF) to await his discharge. He is shown standing against a bare wall, facing front and smiling for the camera. He is wearing military uniform. Watkins wears 12 battle stars and the presidential unit citation with three clusters. He and his wife, the former Miss Maxine Lane, are staying at the home of his brother, W. R. Watkins Junior (Jr. ). Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 6, 1945.
