After three years in service, Lieutenant J. C. Nelson, United States Navy Reserve (U. S. N. R.), arrived home on his 25th birthday to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Nelson, on his first leave since he enlisted. Lieutenant Nelson graduated from Arlington Heights High School and the University of Texas, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta. He is standing against a bare wall, wearing his military uniform.
