Description

Health officials have been asked to clean all the city's alleys in an effort to prevent a recurrence of a polio epidemic in Fort Worth. Only with complete co-operation of the citizens can this be accomplished. A turned-over garbage can with refuse strew on the ground and tall thick weeds make a perfect breeding place for insects in this South Side Alley. Citizens have been asked to protect their own health and that of others by keeping their alleys clean. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 2, 1945.
