Description
Five of the returned veterans who passed through Fort Worth are pictured here. All are Texans. They are, from left to right, Luther R. Summers, technician fourth grade, Dallas; Staff Sergeant (Sgt.) L. J. Nelson, Lubbock; Nelson Garringer, technician fifth grade, Lockhart; Sergeant (Sgt.) Nowal F. Mullins, Lubbock; and Sergeant (Sgt. ) William H. Bostick, Lubbock. They are shown dressed in uniforms, standing side by side at Fort Worth Texas and Pacific Station (T&P Station). Behind them is a train. They are back from the European theater of war and glad to be home. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 29, 1945.
