Description
A trainload of veterans stopped in Fort Worth. One of the Fort Worth men on the train was Sergeant J. L. Holcomb, son of Mrs. J. H. Harrison, 1609 E. Lancaster, who was attached to the field artillery of the 84th Division in Germany. He entered the Army in 1934, went overseas in September 1942 to return with 115 discharge points. Holcomb poses a smile while alighting the train. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 29, 1945.
