Description

A special troop train bearing 377 Texas members of the 86th Division Black Hawks stopped at Texas & Pacific (T&P) Station on it's way to Fort Sam Houston. The men exuberant over being back in their home state, spenta two-hour stopover cavorting about T&P Station. Shown is Private First Class George L. Hess standing outside a railroad car. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition June 22, 1945.
