    Description

    Sergeant William L. Warren, is spending a 30-day furlough at the home of his aunt, Mrs. H. L. Krantz, after completing 35 bombing missions as an engineer on a B-17 during 20 months service in Europe. He is a graduate of Polytechnic High School, was based in England with a bombing squadron of the 8th Air Force. Warren was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with four clusters, the Eastern Theater Offensive ribbon with five battle stars, and the Presidential Unit Citation. Warren is showing smiling and wearing his military uniform. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition June 20, 1945.
