Seventh War Loan Shriners. Left to right, Sam Elliston and John Zeigler, novice Shriners.Elliston is dressed up as Tarzan with wingtip shoes and rolled-down socks, holding a flyer that reads "The "Jet Propelled" Candidate. Next to him, Zeigler is dressed as Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz, with rolled-down socks and wingtip shoes. He is holding up a piece of blank paper. Both men are tied up chain-gang fashion. A crowd stands behind them. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition April 25, 1945.
