Description
First Methodist Church Dedication left to right: Reverend W. W. Ward, Reverend O. F Sensabaugh and Doctor E. B Hawk. For the first time in fifteen years, the million-dollar structure was debt free. Sole trusteeship passed from the Fort Worth congregation to the Methodist Church. The three men participated in the dedication ceremony. Reverend Ward, district superintendent led the responsive reading. He is wearing a three piece suit. Reverend Sensabaugh is presiding elder over the district. He is wearing a light-colored suit and holding a rolled up piece of paper. Dr. Hawk is the dean of Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology. He was pastor of the church when the building was first completed. He is wearing a three piece suit with a flower pinned to the lapel.
