Cline weighing 50 pounds of cotton to fill the ticking for a mattress. The cotton is almost overflowing from the large sack which is being help up on a hook. Mrs. Portwood and Mrs. Cline are both wearing dresses and eyeglasses and have their hair wrapped in a bandanna. They are both members of the Azle Home Demonstration Club. Application to make mattresses for themselves can be made by any farm family having an annual income of less than $400. West Texas cotton for filler and ticking is furnished by the Government. The only cost to the applicants is 35 cents for thread and needles.
