Fort Worth, Texas, Chief of Police R. E. Dysart, right, and Captain R. R. Howerton. Mr. Dysart, formerly the traffic chief, was appointed chief of police after Tom G. Curry asked to be relieved of his duty due to ill health. Mr. Howerton received a promotion to captain in charge of a platoon. Mr. Dysart is dressed in his police uniform with a gun holstered at his hip. Mr. Howerton is wearing a suit. A poster on the back wall lists the United States Armed Forces ranks. A framed picture on the wall shows police officers in their uniforms.
