Description
Lieutenant Mack D. Buse, 21, navigator on B-24. Lt. Buse was wounded April 15 over Italy when his plane was shot down. He and his crew bailed out at 500 feet, the lowest bail-out on record in the 15th United States American Army Air Forces. Buse and two other members of the crew survived. He now is in a base hospital in Italy. His mother is Mrs. Myrtle B. Buse.Lt. Buse is wearing his military uniform.
