Bonham Officer Gets Air Medal. First Lt. Marion H. Gibbons, whose wife, Mrs. Leona Gibbons, lives here, has been awarded the Air Medal at his Flying Fortress base in England. A bombardier, he has flown on some of hte 8th Air Force's toughest missions, including those against Mannheim, Nuernberg, Muenster and Kassel, as well as attacks over the Ruhr Valley. Photograph of Lt. Gibbons in his military uniform. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition April 16, 1945.
