Description

Lieutenant Leonard B. Bounds, of Fort Worth, Texas, has been awarded a Bronze Star Medal for heroic achievement in action. His cousin, Corporal Frank Bounds (not pictured), was also awarded a Bronze Star. Lieutenant Bounds, the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Bounds, was decorated for heroism in the vicinity of Uerdingen, Germany, where he served as a communications officer for the 1st Battalion, 378th Infantry, 95th Division. He was a graduate of Technical High School. Lieutenant Bounds is pictured wearing his military uniform.
