Description

Marine Private First Class Lewis M. Howard, 18, son of Mrs. Emily Nixon, is visiting friends in Fort Worth while on a short leave. He is well known in music circles as a pianist. He is graduated from Paschal High School in 1944 and entered the Marine Corps in June 1944, and left for overseas duty in the South Pacific in September. He plans to take advantage of a scholarship to the Jouliard School of Music when the war is over. He is wearing a military uniform and standing against the wall. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 18, 1945.
