    Description

    Marshall Holms was a private, first class, in the 3rd Marine Amphibious Unit. He was discharged March 23 after serving more than two years in the Marine Corps. During his 20 months in the Pacific he saw action at Bougainville and Guam. His group was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for their work in communications at Guam. His mother, Mrs. Laura Holms, lives in Azle. This is a half length portrait of Marshall Holms, he is standing against the wall and wearing his military uniforms. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 5, 1945.
