The Texas Christian University baseball team is facing the Marine Air Station team at Stadium Field for the first game of the spring. Preparing for the game is Captain H. R. Vance (right). He is seated next to an unidentified man. Captain Vance is the manager of the Marine team. He previously played minor league baseball in the Texas League with the Shreveport Sports in 1930. He is dressed in his military uniform.
