    Description

    A mounted parade through downtown Fort Worth ushered in the 1945 Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Carrying the colors at the forefront of the parade were a couple of cowboys. Hank Mills carried the American flag and Jesse Goodspeed carried the Texas flag. Mr. Mills is wearing a cowboy hat, a western shirt, and jeans. Mr. Goodspeed is wearing a cowboy hat, a striped western shirt, and jeans. The men rode behind Governor Coke R. Stevenson, who led the parade.
