The Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held in Fort Worth, Texas at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Fort Worth District Champions are preparing to represent their city in the State Tournament. Standing in a gymnasium, left to right, are Dub Crocker (heavyweight), Jim Cooper (light-heavyweight), Sergeant Vic Wetterquist (welterweight), Denzil Allcock (middleweight), Jesse Longoria (lightweight), Private Leonard Dixon (bantamweight), Hollis Davis (featherweight), and Harry Chapman (flyweight).
