Eight Texas Golden Glove Champions will represent the Lone Star State in the Tournament of Champions. The Golden Gloves National Tournament will be held in Chicago, Illinois. Standing in a row, left to right, are Hector Marquez (Bantamweight), Alec Gonzales, J. W. Blankenship (Lightweight), Private First Class Tom Attra (Light-Heavyweight), Corporal Gene Gosney (Heavyweight), Private Jim McGrath (Middleweight), Gilbert Garcia (Welterweight), and Gilbert Areche de la Cruz (Flyweight). Not picture is featherweight Lloyd W. Williams.
