Description

The Golden Gloves District Tournament is being held in Fort Worth, Texas at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Twenty-three year old Bobby Woods is a newcomer to the Texas ring. He is a 135-pound scrapper representing Convair in the lightweight class. He is shown taping his hands in preparation for his bout. The photograph was published in the morning edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, on January 16, 1945.
