Description

Boxers throughout the city are training for the upcoming Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Standing against a wall, left to right, are Corporal David Cianelli (187), Sergeant Tommy Thompson (147), Technical Sergeant Joe Stetka (160), and Staff Sergeant Chuck Quick (215). The four men are Eagle Mountain Marines, all of whom have seen service overseas. They are working out at the Golden Gloves gymnasium. Sergeant Thompson and Sergeant Stetka are dressed in their military uniforms. Corporal Cianelli and Sergeant Quick are wearing workout clothes. The photograph was published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, on the morning of January 6, 1945.
