Description
Private First Class (Pfc.) James L. Beeson is a second division infantryman in the United States Army. He was wounded in action in France and is recovering at a hospital in England. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his injuries. He sent the Purple Heart and a letter to his sister, Mrs. F. H. Barina, of Sylvester, Texas. Private Beeson is shown wearing his military uniform. This is a copy of his portrait photograph. He is a native of Johnson County, Texas, and attended school at Burleson. Three of his brothers are also serving in the military. They are Marine Private First Class (Pfc.) Roy B. Beeson; Army Air Forces Private First Class (Pfc.) Ernest A. Beeson; and Marine Private (Pvt.) Ervin E. Beeson.
