Description
Time moved back Saturday as T. W. Taliaferro read through an original program and ticket stub for the matinee performance at the Iroquois Theater in Chicago, Illinois, on December 30, 1903. It was at the afternoon performance of "Mr. Bluebeard" that a fire broke out at the theater and killed 600 people. Mr. Taliaferro attended the show with Doctor Samuel Milliken of Dallas, Texas. They were two of the 21 men that escaped through a back exit and into the alleyway. Mr. Taliaferro is sitting on a bench on his porch. He is dressed in a striped suit. There are a piles of books next to him on the bench. The top book is "Lest We Forget." There is an automobile parked at the curb.
