Description
First Lieutenant Cecil A. Miller, 23 years old Distinguished Flying Cross holder flew 35 bombing missions without any member of the crew sustaining an injury. He pilots a Flying Fortress and had the same crew on all his missions. His Flying Fort did five missions in 60 hours during the D-Day invasion. His crew were based in England with the 8th Air Force. Miller calls Fort Worth his home, having lived here until 1940 after graduating from Laneri High School. He is the son of Mrs. Marie H. Miller. He entered the service on July 30, 1942. He wears the Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters. He is pictured wearing his military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 16, 1944.
