Description

A copy of photograph of Staff Sergeant Fred C. Strahl, San Antonio, Texas, who was a chief clerk at the Army Normoyle ordnance motor base in San Antonio before enlisting in the Air Corps in February, 1943, has been awarded the Air Medal with one cluster for combat missions over Germany, Austria, Italy, and top turret gunner on a 15th Air Force Liberator. His wife is the former Miss Bea McCarty. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 3, 1944.
