Description
Newton H. Lassiter, at 84 is a retired attorney, banker and insurance company head. Standing up straight with his fist raised at an imaginary adversary, Lassiter says "He feels better than he has in over 50 years". He takes his exercise each day and watches his diet. He lives in an apartment at the Hotel Texas with his wife and gave his home at 1008 Penn to be used by the Girls Service League. He is a proud of his grandson, Captain Lassiter Thompson, fighter plane pilot. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 10, 1944.
